The year 2010 marks the 200th anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s birthday.
At its 35th session in October 2009, UNESCO’s General Conference approved a list of anniversaries celebrated in 2010–11 with which UNESCO will be associated. The list contains Fryderyk Chopin’s bicentenary of birth.
